The teacher of Dad’s writing class is Ms. Jane Priewe.
The following is a letter Dad wrote to Ms. Priewe and friends in class on Feb 11, 2004
Last week Wednesday 2/4/2004, Teacher Ms. Jane noticed me in the class that she would no longer correct my assignment. Firstly, I was surprised and disappointed. But after a moment I realized the situation that she really had done too much for me in the past for almost two years and I have no right to continue being a burden on her any more. I accepted this fact with deep thanks to Jane and was feeling owing her so much. Today I specially take the 67 sheets of my past assignment writings, on which Jane had corrected mistakes for me. These sheets indicate how much time and wrok Jane had spent. It is clear to me that, if any progress I have got in the class, it is due to:(1) Jane’s instruction shown in the handouts, (2) Jane’s correction and tutoring on my assignment writings, (3) encouragement, correction and influence I received from all the friends in class. I take this opportunity to show my sincere thanks to Teacher Jane and all the freinds in the class. By Seymour Wen
