文席 謀﹐ 湖南省 醴陵市人。 1944 年 國立 中央大學 機械工程系畢業。1952 年﹐國府 中國 空軍 選派赴 美國 空軍 理工學院深造﹐接受 基地 工程 主管訓練。學成後 在台灣 軍工單位 從事 工程設計。離公職 後曾任 台北 中興 電工廠 廠長﹐在 台灣 開始 生產 空調 機 及 電冰箱﹔ 琉球 美國 賴恩 工程 設計 公司 高級 工程師﹐台北 美 國 工程 設計 公司 機電 總工程師﹐新加坡 華昌 工程 公司 董事經理﹐文氏 工程 顧問 公司 董事長﹐及 臺大 機械系 教授等。 為 中國 工程 師 學會 及 美國 軍事 工程 學會 會員﹐美國 製冷 空調 學會 永久 會員 及 會士。1985年 獲 該 學會 傑 出 貢 獻 獎。

Simou Wen(文席謀) was born in Liling, Hunan (湖南,醴陵), China in 1921. He graduated from National Central University in Chongqing (重慶) in 1944 majored in Mechanical Engineering. He moved to Taiwan in1949; and in 1952,
he was selected for training in US Air Force Institute of Technology in Dayton, Ohio, on installation engineering (IE). He worked as a plant general manager from 1962 to 1965, where he manufactured and pioneered the production of air conditioners and refrigerators in Taiwan. He was the head of WahChung engineering Company in Singapore (1973-1975). In 1975 he founded the Wen's Engineering Consulting Company in Taipei and served as the CEO until his retirement to Los Angeles in 1985. In1985, he was awarded the Fellow of the America Society of Heating, Refrigeration, and Air condition Engineers (ASHRAE). He was an Adjunct Professor in the National Taiwan University (1969-1973), member of Society of Chinese Engineers and Society of American Military Engineers. Since retirement in 1985, he has been devoted his time to writing. In 1990, he accepted a 3-month invitation to visit and lecture in China by the State Bureau of Foreign Experts, PRC (中國國際人才交流協會). He has published three books in Chinese: 海閭文集(Collection of Essays from Oversea), 系統分析中國文化與國情 (A Systematic Analysis of Chinese Culture and National Status, co-authored with Paul Leung) and 歸國訪問縱橫談 (Visiting and Lecturing in Mainland 1990).
